Annual Report 2019-20
Good Evening everybody…………..
I heartily welcome you all to the annual day celebration of SJT School. I am indeed honored to have this opportunity to present before you the consistent upward graph of our school achievements and I would like to thank each one of you for being a significant part of this glorious journey.
Our biggest achievement in the current year was Senior Secondary affiliation by CBSE. It gives me immense pleasure to inform you all that we are starting all three streams Arts, Commerce and Science of class XI from April 2020. I am delighted to inform you all that the school now has its own bus and we plan to increase the no. of buses in the near future.
I believe that the purpose of education is to replace an empty mind with an open mind. The whole object of education should be to develop the mind that works and to free a child’s potential by instilling in him a curiosity to learn, so that he will continue to learn as long as he lives. The year 2019 commenced on a wonderful note when the result of our first batch of class X CBSE Board examination came out. We had 100% result with Sara Khan at 87 %, Nikita Saini at 82 % and Vishaka Khubani at 81 %.
Students of Class VI, VII and VIII participated in French word power State Level Exam 2019-20. The position holders Class VI were Mohd. Zaid I, Sumaiya Khan II and Jayesh Madhwani III. From Class VIII Himanwshhu Agarwal –I, Kunal Kumawat- II and Himanshu Yadav –III. The following students also qualified for the national level. Ritu Keswani, Shrishthi Khandelwal and Mansi Jain, Nida Khan, Vaibhav Kumawat, Armaan Mansuri , Mohd. Shaad, Farooq Hussain Mansuri and Shahid Khan.
Our students participated in Science, Maths , English & G.K. Olympiad for the first time this year.
Games & Sports is the very fabric of a student’s life. It holds them together builds character and promotes team work. In the sports arena too our students have actively participated in different intra and inter school competitions.
In the inter school competitions our school students always put their best foot forward and have brought laurels to the school.
Arish Gupta and Vanshika Keshwani of Class III bagged the third prize in origami held at Jay Shree Periwal School.
Saniya Khan of Class IX won third prize in poster making competition held at Shanti Asiatic School.
Aditya Rajpurohit of Class VI got consolation prize in book cover design.
Bhavesh Khinchi and Manya Sharma of Class II and I won consolation prize in poster design on the theme save girl child.
Shahid Arman , Farooq and Kunal of Class VII and VIII participated in soft board decoration.
Students also participated in various activities held in the Sahodya fest.
Various co-curricular activities are held under different clubs to develop a child physically, morally, socially and mentally and to hone skills in co-scholastic areas. Regular club activities are held in which the students participate and show their caliber. To name some
Poster making on Fit India, and sports and science quiz by Eco club.
Art exhibition and fashion show on the theme best out of waste by art and craft club.
Song on road safety and singing competition by music club.
Performance on various festivals by dance and drama club.
Swachta Abhiyan by social club and many more.
To promote the competitive spirit and to bring out the talent of the students they are encouraged to participate in various co-curricular activities. Competitions like pin board decoration, Rakhi Making, Recitation, writing, Quiz, debate, Drawing & painting, fancy dress etc. were conducted during the course of the year. Our school office bearers were officially sworn in a very impressive investiture ceremony on July 29, 2019. The school cabinet was led by our Head Boy Arsalan Mirza and head girl Sejal Rajpurohit.
To ensure that our students are well equipped with knowledge to face any challenge, we have focused sessions on special topics such as Pariksha Pe charcha Cyber Security, Road Safety, health & hygiene, carrier counseling and many more.
I feel extremely proud to inform you that we embarked on a new journey with the creation of cultural vistas of India & France. The French delegates visited the school on 18th April 2019. The school continues its journey to invite people to create more opportunities to enquire, share, experience and understand the interconnected world we live in.
I take pride to mention that our school band made a prestigious appearance in the Marathon run where everyoneapplauded the majestic performance of the band.
In keeping with the school’s policy of continuous upgradation of knowledge and skills our teachers attended various workshops and seminars organized by CBSEso as to improve their academic transaction skills, and to update their capabilities.
The school magazine “Reflections “is a window to the activities of the school. The school magazine widens knowledgeand helps in developing the powers of writing of the budding writers. The magazine also highlights the successes and achievements of the school students. Soon we will be coming up with the third edition ofthe school magazine.
“All work and no play makes Jack a dull boy.” The school has organized one day picnic programmes for the students. They were taken to an adventure camp by Rock sport where they carriedout a host of activities. This was one day when all the teachers and the students together had all the fun.
It gives me immense pleasure to inform you all that the management has decided to give free education to every student who comes in the merit list of C.B.S.E.
Keeping in mind the holistic development of our students, we have always worked towards giving them ample opportunity to inculcate all the life skills needed to be successful in today’s world with this I seek god’s blessings for each one of us to keep accomplishing new heights of success. I would like to extend my heartfelt gratitude to our convener Smt. Sadhna Bhutodia Ji for her constant guidance and support at every step of the way. She has truly been the pillar of strength and our motivating force to be better day by day.
